Cancer Le Cheile
is a group of friends who support each other and chat about their journey through cancer. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 7.30p.m. in The Courtyard, Ferns. All Cancer Survivors are welcome. Call in for a chat.

Open 7 days a week. Free admission and guided tours of the Castle and Visitors Centre which houses the renowned Ferns Tapestries - all are welcome.

School Book Initiative
Forrest's Cafe have in place a community initiative by providing a service in which school books for both Primary and Secondary schools can be accessed for any given school year. Ferns Tidy Towns
Judging for the national Tidy Towns competition can take place anytime from the first week of June to the end of July with 2nd round adjudication taking place in August. Ferns Tidy Towns (FTT) has made a huge effort to present Ferns at its best. We would ask that residents and business owners would help by making a special effort to keep outside their premises, especially pathways and kerbs, tidy and free of litter. FTT would like to thank all those people who have helped during the year on the various projects undertaken. Tombrack Ladies Club
outing takes place on Tuesday, July 5th. The bus departs from the Square in Ferns at 9.15a.m Their first stop is Huntington Castle followed by the Arboretum, Home and Garden Centre, along to Kilkenny city for some shopping and a meal afterwards. Anybody wishing to travel and have not given their names please do so, by contacting the Secretary as soon as possible on 087-6806726 after 6p.m.

Ferns Dramatic Society Annual Golf Classic
at Blackwater Golf Course on Saturday, July 14th. Team of Four - €100. Prizes for the first three teams plus special prizes for the nearest pin, Best non GUI score etc. Prize giving and refreshments later in Peter Doyle's Bar, Ferns. Contact Bartie 087-2664650 or John 086-2499599.

Song for Console
Sean Mythen has written and produced a song ‘Life’s Song’ which can be bought online with all proceeds going to Console. Sean hopes to raise €5,000. Console is a nationwide suicide prevention, intervention and gives support and counselling to those in crisis. This is obviously a very deserving and necessary project and can do with all the support we can give it.

GROW is a mental health support organisation
which helps people to help themselves through mental health difficulties and illness. Using a 12 Step Program for recovery and growth, anyone can learn how to cope, how to improve their own self-worth and confidence with the support of the Group. Ferns St. Luke's Sportive
This charity cycle in aid of St. Luke's will take place on July 22nd. Enjoy a leisurely round trip cycle, starting from the GAA pitch. Following last year's success this promises to be a fantastic event combining fun, fitness and fundraising. Along with the traditional 100km route this year will also see the introduction of a 60k course. Registration will take place on the day of the event so get on your bike and get training to be part of a great day. Tombrack United Pub Five a Side
This year the club is holding a Pub Five a Side Men's Soccer Tournament in mid July, kick off on Sunday 15th, finals on Friday, 27th. Clologue Patron & Field Day
on Sunday, July 29th. Patron prayers in Ballymore at 1p.m and mass in Clologue at 2p.m. Include Dog Show, Auction, Bottle Stall, cakes etc. Organisers would appreciate unwanted gifts/items of a good saleable condition for the auction, bottles for the bottle stall, cakes etc. For further information contact Mary Skelton.
