Wexford Day at Ferns Castle
This year, Wexford Day will take place on June 23rd - a wonderful day of culture and heritage. Last year (2012) it was held in glorious sunshine. The day was a great success and deserving credit must go to the OPW staff who organised the event.
There was lots to see and do and the following photographs are just a sample of what was on offer:
Well done to local harpist Conor Morris who played the harp in the Centre.
A game of draughts was played on the lawn - is that you Doreen?
A viking battle was reenacted on the Castle lawnFerns Comhaltas provided great entertainment through music and Irish Dancing. They brought a great air of celebration to the day.

......and last but not least, members of the tapestry group - Ann, May and Dolly, were demonstrating their craft in the sunshine.
